School Management Committees
The school has formed independent committees for taking internal decisions related to the day-to-day operations of the school. These committees include senior staff members who have the basic knowledge and experience for making wise and informed decisions. All committees have heads, and the Principal is the final approving authority and signatory for all the committee decisions.
a. Sale and Purchase Committee
The Sales and Purchase committee is responsible for the independent review and evaluation of all purchasing documentation such as quotations, survey reports and comparative statements. They hold periodic meetings to discuss the necessary purchases, discuss survey reports and quotations. Then, they take informed decisions concerning the final purchases.
b. Publication Committee
The Publication Committee is responsible for the review and consideration of all the school publications and printed literature. This includes the publication of school magazine/ newsletter/ prospectus/ pamphlets/ banners/ any other material to be printed for internal usage. The decisions of the committee are based on survey, references, price, quality of work etc.
c. Fixed Assets Register Committee
The Fixed Assets Register Committee is responsible for the maintenance of the Fixed Assets Stock Register. The purview includes the regular record maintenance of the fixed assets of the school, including recording the new purchases and the disposed-off items.
d. Celebrations And Functions Committee
The Celebrations and Functions Committee is responsible for the decisions related to all the school celebrations, including festivals, activities, school picnics & outings and Annual Days.
e. Admissions Committee
The Admission committee is responsible for the formulation of the admission policy and procedures. The committee is also required to discuss advertisement measures and methods to improve admission numbers.
Special admission cases shall also reviewed by this committee. They are also responsible for deciding on exceptional admission cases and extenuating circumstances.
f. Disaster Management Committee
The Disaster Management Committee is responsible to look into the Structural Safety requirements of the school for various hazards (earthquake, flood, cyclone etc.). It is required to get the school building assessed for the hazards identified and take proper remedial measures as per the requirement.
The committee is also required to conduct regular safety drills for the students and the staff to improve their disaster preparedness.
g. Transport Management Committee
The Transport management Committee is responsible for the management of daily transport dispersal, allotting duties, coordinating with the transport team etc. The committee has the onerous responsibility of ensuring that all our students irrespective of the mode of transportation that they use ,travel safely to and fro from the school.
h. School Security council
The school Security Council is responsible for the speedy and effective implementation of the school safety plan and policy. It is also responsible for supervision of the school safety protocols being followed in school. The council is responsible for investigating any lapses, cases of negligence and any untoward incidents. In the event of such incidents of concern, the council assigns the case to the relevant committee or sub-committee responsible for the particular safety area. The Council is also responsible for creating awareness about safety related issues amongst staff and students.
i. POCSO Committee
All children have an equal right to access education in an environment that is safe, protective and conducive to their overall development. For ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offence Act 2012, the POCSO committee has been constituted.
The committee shall be responsible for creating awareness about sexual offences, ensuring gender equality and protection of children against sexual offences. It shall also be responsible for investigating cases of sexual harassment.
